ESCE 340 Final

I have learned how communication really is the key in a lot of progress through not just the infant but between the parents too. Also building a relationship with the parents and not just treating them like another to do list to get done I feel has also made it more successful and more fun. I have also loved this class because it's something I can apply into my own life.

I think my intervention sessions are going okay. I fill like we are all improving during each sessions.  I learned more about how toys need to be more DAP. Making the DAP has helped me see how many toys are really not developing the best for the child.  Weekly quote. Make sure to include: This week I had learned a lot from the expert interview. I had interviewed a teacher that uses technology in her classroom and asked her some questions. This resource helped me learn a lot about my HWD project because it helped me give a deeper understanding. I know this will help me apply it to my future because I will be using technology in my future classrooms and I have more knowledge on how to use it appropriately. Working in groups together has helped us as peers all learn more and discussing about what we've learned also. . Weekly Quote: "Honestly acknowledge your questions and your concerns, but first and forever fan the flame of your faith, because all things are possible to them that believe." Elder Jeffery R. Holland HWD Paragraph: "Technology in education is the biggest change in teaching we will ever see."  Doing this project has really opened my eyes. Technology really does have an affect and it not only affects ...

You will need to create a blog post reflecting on; how you think your intervention sessions are going,        -I think my intervention plans are going okay. This last week Mae seemed to learn catch on pretty fast with my activity and am interested to see if it will help her.  what you learned during the week (what is like working with families in a home setting, working with a partner, etc.), and what questions or concerns you have about the child, family intervention etc.       -I learned how to better my intervention plan from the feedback given. I'm still learning. I also feel it getting easier as I'm getting more a relationship with the family I'm working with.  Weekly quote:        - "You don't learn to walk by following the rules. You learn to walk by doing and following over."

Make sure to include: A reflection of your process to learn it, and what you would change to learn more/better,      - This week I learned a lot about the family project. I got to really understand the stress it could be in finding the information you need to know about having a child with a disability and how hard it really is.  What experience or resource helped you learn the most,         - The whole family project in general help me learn the most. We had to put a lot of work into it but it also helped give me a deeper understanding of what it really takes.  How well prepared are you for applying what you learned in the future,         - I feel like I am more prepared because I have more of an understanding of what parents might be going through and might could help them with the information they need to know about their child. How well did your peers learn and what did you do to help them learn mor...

I think our interventions are going okay. We are learning to better make an intervention plans and how to better set activities for the goals we made. It's been fun getting know the mother and the child each week!   "Children must be taught how to think, not what to think."

We definitely have a lot to learn on our home visits. But luckily we have a super baby. We will have a lot to learn from her from this semester. We've only have had one visit currently but will have our second one on Monday. It's already been interesting because the mother has already been in this class so at the same time it's been nice also.  I learned during the week what affects toys have on infants. Even ones you think can help them develop. It's important to look over those toys and see if the toys really can help develop the baby appropriately.  Weekly quote:     "Children need models rather than critics." Joseph Jobert
