I felt like I learned a lot more from the videos we watched for the preparation materials. I am more of a visual learner so watching and learning from those videos helped me a lot more and I feel like I was able to connect and learn from the personal experiences it gave more. I liked how in the videos and the blog post it really talked about expectations. No parent expects their child to have a disability. So no parent really knows what to expect or how to expect. But I also liked how it brought up how it really is the same with every kid. Just the expectations change with kids with disabilities. It's important to remember that no one is perfect, even people without disabilities. Everyone needs to remember we can grow and learn from each other. We are all trying and shouldn't judge and expect so much when everyone is different and this was an eyeopener to me and know that those expectations will change.
Weekly quote: "So here we are, all in Italy. But we're all having very different vacations, because we're very different people, raising very different children." Autism blogpost.
HWD:
"In today’s classroom, teachers are pressed to make every minute count. If the teacher and students are not experienced with technology in the classroom, valuable time is often wasted on technical troubles." I learned this week that if not used correctly technology being used in education can negatively effect the students and education.
